Best iPod Linux Install Tutorial Part 2

READ THIS FIRST!!!
This tutorial will help you install iGamegear, igpSP, idarcnes, iPod Mame, and pretty much every other emulator except for iGens. It also installs rockbox and a few other applications.

Directions for step 1:
Go to http://www.box.net/shared/ygzh8rc45y and download iLaunch2.1 Folder Structure.zip. Extract the zip to the root of your iPod. Go to the root of your iPod and open the folder "iLaunch." Right-click the file "iDoom" and go back to the root of your iPod. Now open the folder "iDoom" then open the folder "Doom 1." Paste the file you copied earlier in this folder. It will ask you if you want to replace a file so click "yes." Go back to the root of your iPod and open the "iLaunch" folder again. Now delete the file "iDoom." Google "gba_bios.bin" and download it. (It should be the first link that shows up) Go back to the root of your iPod and open the folder "igpSP." Move the file "gba_bios.bin" to this folder.

Directions for step 2:
Go to http://www.rockbox.org and click the "current builds" link. Download and extract the correct rockbox build to the root of your ipod.

Directions for step 3:
Open up notepad and paste the following text into it:

Apple OS @ ramimg
iPodLinux @ (hd0,1)/linux.bin
Rockbox @ (hd0,1)/.rockbox/rockbox.ipod
iLaunch @ (hd0,1)/linux.bin /mnt/iLaunch/iLaunch
Disk Mode @ diskmode
Sleep @ standby

Click file, save as. In the save as type box, change it to "all files." Name the file "loader.cfg" and save it to the root of your iPod.
Congratulations, you're done!

IMPORTANT

Preparing you ipod:

Directions for step 1:
Go to http://www.ipodlinux.org/sysinfo and follow the directions to fix your sysinfo. NOTE: You can skip this step if you have firmware version 1.1 or lower.

Directions for step 2:
Go to http://www.ipodlinux.org/ipodlinux_manager and download and unzip the iPod Linux Manager to your desktop. Run iPodLinux Manager.bat and click NEXT to begin installation. Tutorial - get rid of background noise

In this video I show you how to get rid of annoying background noise that's in your video, with the free and open source audioeditor Audacity. Its available for Windows/Mac and Linux and you can find it at http://audacity.sourceforge.net

I use Eemma's video where she complaints about the Mac support as an example but it should work on any video where the noise is very consistent, like a lot of webcams have.

My encoder won't get past 9:35 minutes so that's why its cut off, but the quality is way better than the WMV-encoder I used to have, and I don't say anything important after that anyway.

ipod Linux and Rockbox install tutorial

How to install ipod linux and rockbox.

Note
There is a new update for XP and Vista that won't allow the ipod patcher to work, causing the 'unable to modify firmware' error. If you have this update installed, you will not be able to install ipod linux.
You will no longer get the unable to find kernel error, but you will still have to manually install it.
Please read this before asking questions.
