An example of how running distcc can be dangerous. It uses the metasploit 3.1 msfgui3 to open a remote shell through distcc. The shell gets logged in as the distcc user. I have a detailed explanation here and a better video at my personal homepage

This is part 2 of the Mounted Volume tutorial. In this tutorial, I hope to show how it is useful to make a copy of a CD-ROM and store it on the hard drive for use by other applications.
In this video I use the ISO of the Police Quest Collection by Sierra for mounting and then playing in Dosbox.

This takes just about 5 minutes to enable.
note- that odd bit in the video after typing "the EEE is great" came from exporting the video, it didn't happen on the EEE itself.
To enable advanced desktop mode, follow the first method. http://wiki.eeeuser.com/howto:getkde

Installing Damn Small Linux on Virtual Hard Disk Drive in Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.
Open up Terminal(Bash) then type in (sudo -s) and type in (cfdisk /dev/hda).
Create hda1 swap 82 128MB then hda2 linux 83 then make the linux partition bootable.
Write partition information to disk when done. Linux partition can be at any size depending on your Hard Disk Drive size.
Reboot the virtual machine or computer (if being installed on computer).
Open up Terminal(Bash) again type in (sudo -s) then type in (mkswap /dev/hda1) and (swapon /dev/hda1) to activate swap partition.
Type in (dsl-hdinstall) to install Damn Small Linux, reboot after it has finshed installing.
Commands are in round brackets.
This can be done on any version of Damn Small Linux. Theres no responsibility for the loss of data or data corruption to your Hard Disk Drive if it become unrecoverable.

This is a tutorial on how to transform OGG video files into MP4 using VLC Media Player. MP4 is an excellent format that is readily uploadable to Youtube. So, for all those people that have something to show from recordmydesktop, now you have a way to transcode into a high quality format.

The 2nd video in my Ubuntu series, this shows you how to install Ubuntu on a dual-boot system (Windows XP and Ubuntu). You'll need an Ubuntu CD (See 1st Video). First, you defragment your Windows drive, then you set BIOS to boot from CD, then you boot into LiveCD mode, then you repartition your drive, then you install the system.

I'm going to make a series of video tutorials on installing and configuring Ubuntu Linux. This would obviously be the first. This may be way too simple for you, so you can get what you need at: http://www.ubuntu.com If you're really new to this, watch the video for a tutorial. I'll hopefully get the next video (Installing Ubuntu) out tomorrow. I have it recorded but not edited.
